Mount Kenya Safari Club and Animal Orphanage

I enjoyed even more magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya, at the Mount Kenya Safari Club. It was originally the retreat of movie star and Club founder, William Holden. The Club’s former members have included Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby.

After a little shopping en route and then getting settled into my new room, I enjoyed an evening of tribal dance and dinner with friends.

I felt so blessed to enjoy a day of recreational activities after an early morning run. The list of the Club’s available activities includes horseback riding, golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, and swimming. The property boasts a run path, a health club and a spa for guests to enjoy.

The equator (sidewalk center line) divides the Mount Kenya Safari Club property. Club registration, half of the bar, half of the pool and gardens were in the South Hemisphere. My room, the main dining room, and the gym were in the North Hemisphere.

Touring the Mount Kenya Animal Orphanage was a fun-filled, unforgettable and priceless experience.
